Integrated Avionics Instrument and Flight Control System (B Shop)

Integrated Avionic Communications, Navigation and Penetration Aids (C Shop)***

Task and Responsibility

Integrated Avionics Attack Control Systems Maintenance (A Shop)

Requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in RSAF AFSC 196X3, or equivalent, of which two (2) years must be at the seven (7) level as an F-15 Avionics Systems Specialist.

For assignment to the F-15S aircraft, qualification as an F-15 Avionics System technician with “O” level maintenance experience on LANTlRN is mandatory.

In addition, a minimum of one-year experience in performing supervising functions of A-Shop is also desirable.

Analyze malfunctions and inspect, installs, maintains and troubleshoots integrated avionics attack control systems at the Organizational level (OM).

Identifies and isolates malfunctions of integrated avionics control systems.

Removes, aligns, installs, bore-sights and conducts check outs of integrated avionics attack control systems

Maintains inspection and maintenance records.

Performs On-the-Job Training for assigned trainees.

Documents all maintenance actions as prescribed by established procedures.

Performs acceptance procedures on newly assigned aircraft and equipment.

Orders and receives parts.

Integrated Avionics Instrument and Flight Control System (B Shop)

Requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in RSAF AFSC 196X4, or equivalent, of which two (2) years must be at the seven (7) level as an F-15 Avionics Systems Specialist.

In addition, a minimum of one-year experience in performing supervising functions of B-Shop is also desirable.

The use and interpretation of intermediate level test equipment is also desirable.

Analyzes malfunctions and inspects, installs, maintains and troubleshoots integrated avionics instruments and flight control systems at the Organizational level (O Level).

Advises on Organizational level avionics instrument and flight control systems activities.

Analyzes performance and isolates malfunctions of integrated avionics instruments and flight control systems

Removes, aligns, installs, harmonizes, bore sights and conduct check outs of integrated avionics instrument and flight control systems.

Inspects integrated avionics instruments and flight control systems.

Performs On-the-Job Training for assigned trainees.

Documents all maintenance action as prescribed by established procedures.

Orders and receives parts.

 

Integrated Avionics Communications, Navigation and Penetration Aids (C-Shop)

Requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in RSAF AFSC 196X5, or equivalent, of which two (2) years must be at the seven (7) level as an F-15 Communications Systems Specialist.

In addition, a minimum of one-year experience in performing supervising functions of C-Shop is also desirable.

The use and interpretation of intermediate level test equipment is also desirable.

Analyzes malfunctions and inspects, installs, maintains and troubleshoots integrated avionic communication, navigation and penetration aids systems at the organizational level.

Operates integrated avionic communication, navigation and penetration aids systems by using proper cathode ray tube displays.

Analyzes equipment operation characteristics to isolate malfunctions to subsystems such as the navigation systems, internal and external electronic warfare systems and communication systems.

Removes faulty units, install serviceable LRUs into aircraft and performs system alignment and harmonization.

Bore-sights systems, if required and authorized.

Installs and performs functional checkouts of ECM equipment.

Performs On-the-Job Training for assigned trainees.

Documents all maintenance action as prescribed by established procedures.

Orders and receives parts.
