Teaches how to perform and evaluate maintenance on guided weapons, guidance and control systems, sub-systems, and components; operate, and maintain related test monitoring and checkout equipment to determine and isolate malfunction; assembly and disassembly of guided weapons.
- Must possess a 7 or 9 skill level in the Guided Weapons Maintenance Career Field.
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience working in the Missile Maintenance Section.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a 7-skill level (not required for 9 skill level)
- Must have completed the Technical Instructor Course
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Guided Weapons Maintenance Instructor
- Must have experience working with F-15 missiles and precision guided weapons
- Must have been awarded a T prefix to their AFSC indicating qualified instructor

- Teaches specialty courses
- Develops Course Training Standards (CTS)
- Develops Course Instructional Plan (CIP)
- Develops Course Synopsis (CS)
- Develops Criterion Reference Test Items (CRTl) and Checklists (CRC)
- Develops Test Questions
- Develops Student Handouts
- Develops and updates PowerPoint Presentations
- Maintains current Technical Orders for specialty courses
- Teaches support courses when required
- Trains Counterpart Instructors when required
- Performs additional duties when required
